IBM System Storage
DS4800

    

The IBM System Storage DS4800 is designed to handle data-intensive applications requiring optimum connectivity.  Supporting a 4 GB Fibre Channel interface and 4 Gbps host channels designed to provide 1600 Mbps of bandwidth, the System Storage DS4800 requires half as many host ports as a 4 Gbps array to deliver the throughput of four Gbps ports, and helps reduce overall operating costs.

Built to be an economical alternative for data archiving and storage, the System Storage DS4200 Express Model 7V is an SATA-only storage system with 4 Gbps Fibre Channel host ports to handle the most demanding applications.  The 3U system also features intelligent RAID controllers supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 3, 5, and 10, and has an internal memory capacity of up to 12 TB when using the optional DS4200 750 GB Enhanced Value Disk Drive Modules.

EXP24

EXP3000

    

The 19” rack-mountable System Storage EXP300 is a 2U system designed to support up to 12 Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) 3.5-inch disk drives.  The dual-port MegaRAID 8480 gives you high-performance in cost sensitive, or limited space environments.  It supports RAID levels 0, 1, 10, 5, and 50, and uses an Intel I/O processor to optimize performance and PCI-Express host interface for increased bandwidth.  A maximum of four EXP3000’s can be cascaded from the MegaRAID 8480 adapter to support a total of 48 disks to maximize performance and configurability.
 
      
EXP420     

The System Storage EXP420 Storage Expansion Unit (18128VH) is a SATA disk-only expansion unit for use with thhe IBM DS4200 Express Model 7V.  Compact in size, the 3U rack-mount disk expansion allows for up to 16 DS4200 SATA Enhanced Value Disk Drive Modules, offering up to 8 TB of physical capacity per expansion unit.  Along with redundant, hot-swappable power supply and cooling components, and the proven DS4000 reliability, this unit is an excellent mid-range disk storage solution, exceptionally suited for data archiving or fixed-content applications.
      
EXP810     

The latest disk enclosure unit in IBM’s DS4000 series, the EXP810 is a 3U system with 4 Gbps Fibre Channel interfaces and supports up to 16 disk drives.  Featuring redundant AC or DC power and cooling, the EXP810 has up to 4.8 TB physical capacity per expansion unity when using sixteen 300 GB disk drives.  The DS4000 EXP810 is available in a 19-inch rack-mount package.
